We contribute to sustainable aviation by promoting innovative fuel technology. We order Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at the Lufthansa Group, which is not made from fossil fuels, but from used cooking oils or agricultural waste. Compared to conventional kerosene, SAF saves at least 80 % of carbon emissions across the entire value chain – immediately reducing flight-related CO2 emissions.
