DISINFECTANT WIPES

No chance for viruses and bacteria

To minimize acteria and viruses on surfaces, moist disposable disinfectant wipes are almost indispensable these days. Nonwoven fabrics for disinfectant wipes are impregnated with an antibacterial or anti-viral lotion.

A big advantage of wet packaged products is that every wipe carries the same amount of liquid disinfectant. Moreover, these packaged wipes are easy to take along.

Dry wipes and a separate disinfectant have the same effect, but are less convenient to use when you are out and about.

Characteristics and manufacture

Disinfctant wipes can be made entirely from spunbonded nonwovens. The calendared spunbonded material is made of polypropylene and can be very thin. That's why it dries quickly during use. In order to avoid drying out, the spunbonded nonwoven is often combined with a second layer, for example a wet-laid nonwoven made of cellulose.

An alternative is a hydroentangled carded nonwoven made from a blend of polyester and viscose fibers. The highest disinfection effect is achieved with 100% polyester. The cellulose of the viscose fibers might keep the active ingredient of the disinfectant inside the wipe. Surfaces are cleaned, but in some cases not adequately disinfected.

Line concepts

The combination of NCT high-performance card, AquaJet, drum dryer and winder deliver a consistently high nonwoven quality even at high speeds of 300 m / min and more on the winder.

For nonwovens with an isotropic MD-CD ratio, the integration of the crosslapper CLH makes an ideal configuration.
